Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix realized early on that she was gifted to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within 10 weeks of her first tryout she came in second place in the 200-meter race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003 signed a sports contract with Adidas. Then she went to an institution called the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. She set an Junior World Record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 second. She became the youngest world champion in the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top third of each event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
