Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was a natural athlete and discovered her love to sprint during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt and placing within the top two places in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix was signed to a professional career with Adidas in 2003. She later enrolled in University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record running 200 meters for 22.18. She became the world's youngest champion in 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007, defeating her long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked among the top three athletes in each of her events.
